Luke House
Originally built in 1923 and belonging to renowned florist Tommy Luke during a time when Portland was rapidly expanding, this home sits in the historic Arlington Heights neighbourhood, long known for its grand homes and leafy surroundings near Hoyt Arboretum and the Rose Garden. When we discovered the property, we immediately saw the opportunity to restore and reimagine it. Our intention was to undertake a full renovation and ultimately flip the house, but as the transformation unfolded, we found ourselves falling in love with it and very nearly moving in ourselves.
With the help of our fantastic contractors we managed to completely revitalise the property, carefully updating every system while preserving the character that makes homes from this era so special. Once the renovation was complete, we fully staged the house ourselves — a real advantage as we knew the home so well and had envisioned how it should be lived in from the very beginning. The result is a house that blends historic charm with modern comfort — thoughtfully upgraded, beautifully finished, and designed to feel both timeless and effortlessly livable.
